MUSA panels come in configurations of two, three, and four rows, providing a 75ohm coaxial patching system for unbalanced AES audio. Options include 20, 24, or 26 connectors per row in 1U panels, and 20 or 24 connectors per row in 2U and 3U panels. Rear connectivity is facilitated through 75ohm BNC sockets.

The panels mirror the Canford MUSA HD 3Gb/s 1080p Video Patch Panel range, compliant with SMPTE424M standards, ensuring superior transmission and return loss performance beyond the requirements for AES audio signals. With simple one-piece contacts in both panel connectors and U-links, and a non-normalled, U-link design, there are no intricate moving parts or switch contacts, ensuring exceptional reliability even under vibration during use or transport. Featuring nickel-plated body parts and gold-plated center contacts, they offer smooth mating action and address issues like 'sticktion' and tarnishing seen in the outdated silver MUSA. Additionally, solid interface insulators prevent dust ingress, eliminating the need for dust caps on unused ports.

The panels are crafted from sturdy aluminium extrusion and come equipped with two lacing-bars and either two 5mm (for 1U panels) or 7.5mm (for 2U and 3U panels) Snap-on designation strips. The depth behind the panel, inclusive of the lacing-bar, measures 180mm.
