Amidst the bustle of numerous shows, efficiency reigns supreme. Time is money, and when the Royal Ballet and Opera team needed a practical, tidy, and aesthetically impressive solution to their lighting design for this touring production of Carmen, Stage Electrics, working together with CHAUVET Professional, were happy to help.
"The idea was to use light as an element that identified a place and the emotional time of the story and could dynamically follow the storytelling of Carmen. The choice of projectors [lanterns] was a long process with colorimetric and dimming quality evaluations, and in the end the choice made proved to be the best. The grid met all the indicated characteristics with a great construction quality."

Perth Concert Hall's lighting system, originally designed for tungsten lights, was in their words ‘outdated, inefficient, and environmentally unsustainable’. The high energy consumption of this system was unacceptable to them in today’s climate-conscious era.
"Stage Electrics’ assistance went beyond mere vendor support; they became true partners in our mission to modernise and elevate our venue’s capabilities. Their reliability, coupled with their proactive and knowledgeable approach, ensured that despite the hurdles, we were able to achieve our goal of creating a more sustainable and artistically advanced lighting environment.”

The relationship between the University of Manchester and Stage Electrics began over 20 years ago. Stage Electrics have been their go-to provider ever since, making them the natural choice when the time came to upgrade both the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall and the John Thaw Studio Theatre.
“Our longstanding partnership with Stage Electrics speaks volumes about their exceptional service. Student experience is always at the top of our list, and improving this was the main goal of this upgrade. Thanks to Stage Electrics and EM Acoustics, we are proud to say that our students now have access to state-of-the-art facilities"

After a successful installation at their sister venue, a similar conference centre at Center Parcs Woburn Forest last year, Stage Electrics were the natural choice when the team decided to refurbish their scenic Sherwood Forest space.
"Center Parcs used Stage Electrics for our Woburn Forest conference centre refurbishment in 2022, and the feedback from that project was that the products and services were excellent. We wanted to be able to offer similar experiences at both villages, and The Venue at Sherwood Forest needed a full upgrade, including a large investment in AV. Our AV capabilities were a little dated and needed bringing in to the 21st century. "

Stage Electrics helped the Old Laundry Theatre achieve its ambition of running an all-LED venue. One of the greatest benefits of the upgrade has been the improved energy efficiency. The Old Laundry has reported using 88% less electricity compared to when it used a tungsten lighting rig. With no lamps to change, their waste is now almost zero.
"The new LED lights have given the venue enormous flexibility, and as a designer, I now have a fantastic selection of fixtures to light productions with. The new lights have quite simply transformed how the venue works and had an outstandingly positive impact."
